Jandia beaches

Undoubtedly what most characterizes Jandía and Fuerteventura in general are its beaches. The Jandía peninsula has the peculiarity and wealth of having all types of beaches:

Black, white and mixed color beaches, wild beaches lost by the hand of God, kilometer-long beaches, cove-shaped beaches, calm beaches to be with the family, windy beaches for practicing sports, beaches with caves, beaches with dunes, beaches urban, beaches with sand islands, beaches with rocks, beaches with cliffs, beaches with lagoons, beaches with sunken ships…

Cofete Beach

They make up a group of more than 15 kilometers in length separated by El Islote, a small rock that has withstood marine erosion. It is a dangerous coastline open to the north, strong currents and trade winds. Its clear sands of organic origin from the shells of marine mollusks accumulate around a plant species, the balancón, forming dunes of extraordinary beauty.

They do not have any type of infrastructure, except for the small hamlet of Cofete, located nearby, where you can eat.
Its isolation and wild character is very appropriate for lovers of tranquility and relaxation.

Ajuy Beach

Ajuy beach is made up of very fine black sand with a length of 270 meters and an average width of 35 meters. Like all the beaches on the west coast of Fuerteventura, its waves are strong, so extreme care must be taken when bathe in its waters.

Los Canarios Beach

It is located at the mouth of the ravine of the same name. It lacks any type of infrastructure, therefore having a wild and quiet character.

It is made up of sand and rocks that the tide occasionally carries to the shore, especially in winter. It is accessed via a dirt track approximately one kilometer long. Circular stone constructions, like small shelters, are used by visitors to protect themselves from the wind.

Los Ojos Beach

It is a quiet beach located on the west coast of Jandía. To access it you have to take the road that goes from Puertito de la Cruz to Punta Pesebre for two kilometers, then descend a small cliff about 10 meters high, always taking extreme caution since the path is not firm due to the soil erosion.

There is no type of infrastructure, offering a virgin and solitary character.
